Our Covid-19 Policy

Covid-19 continues to impact the way we do things and interact with each other. As Psychologists working in a health setting, we recognise that there is a balance with managing physical health needs, alongside your emotional health needs in a time of community anxiety.

We are committed to continuing to offer a safe therapeutic service over the coming months. Here’s what we’ll be doing to ensure a healthy and safe space for everyone – both clients and staff:

Vaccinations:

  • All Illumen staff are fully vaccinated and part of the health workers vaccine mandate
  • Whilst we don’t necessarily require our clients to be fully vaccinated to attend in-person sessions, Illumen Psychologists may ask you about this along with other possible risks as part of our health and safety decision making. There may be some circumstances where an online session is more suitable.
  • We are able to see people both in-person (masked), or online – so there are flexible options so everyone can receive treatment

Covid-19 safe practices

Please do not come to Illumen if:

  • You have cold/flu symptoms or a loss of smell or taste
  • If you are a household contact of a confirmed Covid-19 case
  • You have worked, in the past 14 days, on an international aircraft or shipping vessel or worked in a facility visited by international arrivals

We ask that you scan in on arrival, sanitise your hands, and wear a mask in the waiting room and common areas.

We also ask that you arrive on time rather than early, to minimise people waiting around in the building. Seating will be available outside.

We won’t have any tea/coffee/water available, so please bring along your own if needed.

Illumen staff will:

  • Keep the building and spaces of a high level of cleanliness and sanitise regularly
  • Maintain physical distancing with clients
  • Will be mindful of who they come into contact with, and will be socially responsible and self-isolate if there is any doubt
